Meet Josie O’Hanlon #ilmawoman

Fashion Stylist & Creative Director of @la.folie

Beauty to me is…
Kindness, selflessness and compassion.

I love…
Spending time on my own, watching Violette_fr make up tutorials, learning french, having wines with friends, and being with my family.

Creativity is…
Being genuine and not creating to suit others

Friendship is…
Being loyal and always there – no matter good or bad

I am happiest when…
I am creating and working hard towards something that I am really passionate about. AND also when I am with family and friends.

To unwind I…
Lather myself in calming essential oils (my mum is the oil queen) and put on a face mask.

The song that always gets me dancing is…
good mix of songs. I like 70s and 80s dance mixtapes as they make me excited no matter what mood I am in.

A message to my younger self…
It doesn’t matter what people think of you – it’s none of your business. Also don’t let anything or anyone limit what you can do because if you are super passionate about something you will make it happen!

My favourite place on Earth is…
Big call but right now I would say Paris!

My favourite scent is…
Chance by Chanel for night. Then for the day my etoile by Fragonard Parfumeur that I got when I was in France.

My next holiday is…
Hopefully Bali in June/July. It’s been a long while since I’ve gone overseas so I am really looking forward to it!

My secret talent is…
I am pretty good at a British accent (a genuine Londoner thought I was from London). Oh and I am also weirdly good at making dolphin noises.

A book/movie/story/song/artwork that changed my life was…
Gustav Klimt’s art work. My parent’s have always been a big fan of his work and I absolutely adore it too.

I’ll never forget…
A surprise gift I received to go sky diving. It was terrifying and invigorating all at the same time.
